Government endorses $6b sustainability procurement programme

The Prime Minister's speech to the nation on the 13th February 2007, signaled a very clear message to the entire Public Sector procurement administration.

Businesses that provide sustainable goods and services under the Government's own Environmental Choice NZ ecolabel will get purchasing preference. Spending $6b annually makes the value of having this prestigious ecolabel accreditation a powerful tool for all Public Sector contracts.
