EcoCover Website - Photo Gallery Update Release Date: 2006-03-07 The website Photo Gallery is regularly updated as clients offer photos of EcoCover being used in an increasing variety of applications.Following Murray Cruickshank's 2005 Zero Waste Conference speech, a new section has been added headed Previously Used Mulch Systems. These quite typical photos not only show the detrimental effects on the amenity landscape but also the significant costs in productivity (plant) losses for other types of mulch systems. Of particular interest is the high cost post remedial maintenance work that is often necessary to kill weeds that the 'mulch' has failed to control. Review the series of photographs showing widely used 'bark mulch'. High plant mortality and prolific weed growth are not uncommon. Should herbicide application be used carelessly the results, as evidenced in the photographs, can be devastating.
