EcoCover EcoSeal Landfill Cover Release Date: 2005-06-02 Early trials at a New Zealand landfill using EcoCover as a daily tip cover have proven to be very positive. EcoCover was laid down in rolls and held in place with tyres.The product was evaluated in situ over a period of 3+ weeks, during which time the area experienced some of the worst weather in many years, and performed extremely well. Common landfill problems include odour, bird scavenging, rodents and wind blown rubbish. Present research is investigating incorporating into the mat: a waterproof top side (without compromising the mat's 100% compostability); a deodoriser; and a rodent repellent.
